Kaj je piškotek?
Velika večina spletnih strani za delovanje uporablja piškotke. Piškotek je majhna datoteka, ki shrani nastavitve spletne strani. Prenese se preko brskalnika, ko prvič obiščemo spletno stran. Ko se vrnete na stran preko iste naprave, brskalnik preveri ali je piškotek prisoten in uporabi podatke iz piškotka ter jih pošlje nazaj strani. Spletnim stranem to omogoča, da prepoznajo, da jih je uporabnik že predhodno obiskal in v nekaterih primerih temu prilagodijo prikazano vsebino.
